oOh!Media North Sydney office fitout
The mesh feature stair in the oOh! Media’s Sydney Headquarters is the centrepiece of a collaborative workplace and office design.
As a pioneering media business, oOh!media is changing the face of Out of Home media across Australia and New Zealand. The company enhances public spaces by creating engaging environments, helping advertisers, landlords, leaseholders, community organisations, local councils and governments reach large and diverse audiences. oOh!media reaches Australians at scale across over 35,000 metro and regional locations including roadsides, retail centers, airports, bus tops, train stations, office towers, cafes, bars and universities. Listed on the ASX and with headquarters situated in a tech and media hub in North Sydney, oOh!media employs around 800 people across Australia and New Zealand.
In an exciting move forward, recently oOh! Media’s Sydney offices re-located to 73 Miller St, an A grade office building boasting spectacular harbour views and close to North Sydney Rail Station and vibrant surrounding amenities. Engaging leading workspace designers IA Design and veteran fit-out builders FDC Construction & Fitout, oOh! Media needed to ensure its new, 4 level, 6,858sqm office kicked every goal. The intent was to design tech-enabled solutions in a fresh, edgy and vibrant workplace that represents and celebrates the oOh! Media brand, its people, and attracts the best talent. The key to the design success lay in IA Design understanding oOh’s vision, their expectations and needs, before applying a rigorous and creative design process. The multi-storey workplace encompasses a variety of dedicated work settings to accommodate different work styles and encourage teamwork. These include product gallery, video and photography studio, reflection room, testing hub, open spaces for collaboration, project spaces, drop-in work areas for visitors, plus a large-scale entertainment areas.
Underpinning the collaborative nature of the fit-out space was the interconnecting stair. The white mesh feature stair, expertly fabricated and installed by Active Metal, is circled by orange feature walls – reflecting the company’s branding, and encased in transparent full height glass cylinder across level two to level four. This staircase truly completes the dynamic ambiance of the workspace, boosting creativity, encouraging unparalleled communications and enabling connectivity between staff, clients and visitors.
